House rules
Living in the bush next to the animals is a fantastic experience. For a good coexistence between humans and animals, there are a number of rules that guests should adhere to:
- It is forbidden to feed the animals. It is important that nature takes its course and that the animals are not taught that food is available at the houses. The farm management of Zandspruit Bush and Aero Estate closely monitors animal welfare.
- Be careful about leaving food unattended to keep out unwanted guests such as squirrels, monkeys, but also snakes. There are plenty of lockable containers in the kitchen to properly store food.
- It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that all windows and doors are closed when leaving the villa. Be careful to take this rule serious because monkeys can slide open screens and enter through open windows, leaving behind a terrible mess.
- Cars are not allowed to drive outside the indicated paths. The maximum speed is 30 km/h and animals always have right of way!
- Enjoy the braai, but make sure everything is safe: think of fire hazard! Always put a full bucket of water next to the braai and pay attention to the position of the braai in relation to the house (thatched roof) and the wind. In high winds, it is not recommended to use the boma and fireplace to minimize the fire hazard. Making fire in other places is strictly prohibited.
- Drones are not allowed on the entire estate.
- Do not cause noise pollution. Volume of music should not disturb other residents. Parties with more than 10 people are not allowed.
- For your own safety: do not dive in the pool
- Recycle the waste in the appropriate waste bins in the pantry.
- Do not leave the air conditioners in the bedrooms running all day. Switching on an hour before going to sleep is sufficient for a cool bedroom.
- Water is scarce in Africa. Use it wisely and do not waste water.
Liability
- You are liable for the correct and tidy use of the holiday home and Zandspruit Estate, with due observance of the tranquility of the environment. This includes:
- responsible handling of fire such as fireplace and candlelight. It is not allowed to make a fire in the garden except in the boma.
- Locking doors and windows when leaving the villa.
- If the house and/or garden is in such a state that it is not possible to clean it within the predetermined cleaning hours, the owner has the right to charge extra cleaning hours.
- It is prohibited to use the holiday home to organize parties and/or drinks of more than 10 persons.
- The main tenant is liable for damage caused by him/her, by co-tenants, by any visitors, even if this is discovered after his/her departure during the final inspection.
- Breakage or loss of goods or damage to inventory or house must be compensated by you.
- In case of damage, the landlord will recover the damage from the tenant.
- Calamities and damage must be reported to @Yourservice immediately by the tenant.
- The tenant is requested to be insured for damage to third parties, such as liability insurance (family insurance).

- Any disruption, change or impediment to the tenant's stay if this is the result of unforeseen and/or insurmountable events.
